The Fallen Star Quest Log
Kill the risen dead attacking the New Tristram gates. And so, I have arrived in New Tristram. Barely two decades old, it was originally created as a resting point for adventurers seeking to pillage the ruins of Old Tristram and the cathedral beyond. If the town ever knew safety, those days ended when the falling star struck the cathedral. Necromantic magic now tinges the air, pulling the dead from their graves. It is good that I am here, or New Tristram might have shared the fate of its predecessor.

Talk to Captain Rumford at the gate to New Tristram A woman named Leah has asked me to save this town. I like her. She has sent me to speak with the captain of the militia and see what I can do to help.
Kill the Wretched Mother north of the gate to New Tristram. The so-called wretched mothers are the source of the dead attacking New Tristram. I shall search the old ruins and the surrounding countryside, destroying any of these mothers I canfind... especially their queen.
Kill the Wretched Queen and the Wretched Mothers in the Old Ruins northeast of New Tristram. - - / / - -
Use the Old Ruins Waypoint to return to New Tristram and talk to Captain Rumford. I have vanquished the dead who have plagued the town.
The Legacy of Cain Quest Log
Use the New Tristram Waypoint to go to the Old Ruins with Leah. My search for the fallen star leads me to the cathedral in Old Tristram. While there, I will also loo for signs of Deckard Cain, Leah's uncle. She is certain he still lives. I haven't the heart to tell her differently.
Go to the Old Tristram Gate northeast of the Old Tristram Waypoint. I feel as though I am stepping back in time, following in the path of the Dark Wanderer, and I will soon search the cathedral for Deckard Cain. But first, I must find the key that will allow me to enter the cathedral.

Go to the Cathedral by exiting the Hidden Cellar and following the path northeast from Adria's Hut. My search for the fallen star leads me to the cathedral in Old Tristram. While there, I will also look for signs of Deckard Cain, Leah's uncle. She is certain he still lives. I haven't the heart to tell her differently.
Descend into the Cathedral Level 1 northeast of Adria's Hut. - - / / - -
Search for signs of Deckard Cain in the Cathedral. I have been in better places than this cathedral. I hear desiccated whispers, maddened laughter, and scrape of shifting bones. The prophecies imply that the fallen star is responsible for this surge of death. I fear there is little hope of finding Deckard Cain alive in this terrible ruin.
Kill the Skeletons attacking Deckard Cain in Leoric's Passage. I have found Deckard Cain just in time to save him from certain death.
Talk to Deckard Cain in Leoric's Passage in the Cathedral. I am astonished that Cain survived. Leah will be happy indeed that her hopes were justified.

A Shattered Crown Quest Log
Talk to the blacksmith Haedrig Eamon in northwest New Tristram. The Skeleton King was destroyed twenty years ago, but he has risen once again and holds the dead in thrall. I need his crown to reach him and bind him to his corporeal form. The town blacksmith knows where the artifact is. I must find him.
Kill the Ravenous Dead in the Cellar of the Damned in northwest New Tristram. The blacksmith stands watch over his cellar, paralyzed with grief. His wife and many others will soon die and raise again as the hungry dead. I don't relish the task of killing them, but I don't think the blacksmith can handle this on his own.
Kill Mira Eamon in the Cellar of the Damned in northwest New Tristram. - - / / - -
Talk to Haedrig Eamon in the Cellar of the Damned in northwest New Tristram. It is done. I have helped the blacksmith kill his wife and friends. Though it is not the best time to ask, I must know where the crown of the Skeleton King is.
Open the Northwest Gate in New Tristram. The Skeleton King's crown lies buried in the tomb of his chancellor. I must find it so that Leoric can be bound to this realm and defeated.

Return to New Tristram and talk to Haedrig Eamon. The crown is broken, and its power shattered. Once the blacksmith reforge it, I will be able to confront the Skeleton King in his lair.
Reign of the Black King Quest Log
Use the New Tristram Waypoint to return to the Cathedral Garden. Tristram has long been tormented by the memory of King Leoric, turned by his madness into the Skeleton King. And now the fire has raised him from the dead once again. I will find a way to stop him. Cain tells me the crown will open a golden door beneath the mausoleum, witch is beside the cathedral.
Enter Leoric's Passage from the Cathedral Garden. - - / / - -
Go to the Cathedral Level 2 through the Ornate Door. - - / / - -
Descend through the Cathedral. The bones of the Skeleton King lie somewhere below, in the royal crypts. I will teach him to stay dead.
Give aid to the Warrior. I have encountered robed cultists holding prisoner a lone warrior. Their corrupt magic is flawed and requires constant effort. I should have to kill only a few of them before the warrior is free.
Find the Warrior's Stolen Items in the Cathedral Level 3. The warrior will need weapons and armor if he's going to complete his quest. He has not told me who he is, however.
Find and Kill Jondar with the Templar in the Cathedral Level 3. The warrior is of the fabled templar order. He is eager to find and slay Jondar, who was once a friend but now embraces black magic. I cannot deny the templar's courage.
Join the Templar in the Cathedral Level 3. The templar and I have killed Jondar. A fitting end for one who embraces dark magics and betrays his friends. This templar fascinates me; I will see where his journey might lead him.
Search for the Royal Crypts beneath the Cathedral. The bones of the Skeleton King lie somewhere below, in the royal crypts. I will teach him to stay dead.
Search for the Crypt of the Skeleton King in the Royal Crypts. - - / / - -
Enter the Crypt of the Skeleton King in the Royal Crypts. I have reached the royal crypts. Beneath the webs and rot, the craftsmanship is stunning. Obviously, there is little time to stand and gape at the chandeliers. Once I lay the crown on the Skeleton King's remains, I will be able to defeat him and give the people of New Tristram some peace.
Kill the Returned guarding the gate to the Skeleton King's tomb in the Crypt of the Skeleton King. - - / / - -

Enter the Desolate Chamber in the Crypt of the Skeleton King. Fresher air flows from beneath the throne. A secret passage must be there.

Return to New Tristram. I will take the Stranger to meet Deckard Cain. His wisdom will guide us.
Talk to Deckard Cain in New Tristram. - - / / - -
Sword of the Stranger Quest Log
Go to the Fields of Misery northwest of the Cemetery of the Forsaken. The fallen star is just a man, a man who holds no memory of who he is. He can remember only a sword of power, split apart during his fall. Cain believes that if we restore the Stranger's sword, his memory will return. I go now to the Fields of Misery in search of the first piece.
Search for the Khazra Den in the Fields of Misery. - - / / - -
Find the Glowing Sword Shard in the Khazra Den. The sword's magic has drawn me to a khazra den in the Fields of Misery. Somehow, I doubt the goatmen will let me take the sword piece without a fight.
Kill Urik the Seer and the Enraged Zealots surrounding the Glowing Sword Shard in the Khazra Den in the Fields of Misery. - - / / - -
Take the Glowing Sword Shard from the Khazra Den in the Fields of Misery. The sword piece is mine. I have but to claim it and return to New Tristram.
Bring the Glowing Sword Shard to Deckard Cain in New Tristram. It seems I am not the only one searching for the Stranger's sword. I had a very interesting encounter with a witch named Maghda and her crazed minions. They thought to stop me from taking the sword piece, but their efforts were for naught. Yet this Maghda will not be deterred so easily, I fear. I will now bring this piece of the Stranger's sword to Cain in New Tristram.
The Broken Blade Quest Log
Go to the Drowned Temple northeast of the Fields of Misery. The second piece of the sword is north of the Fields of Misery in the Drowned Temple. A cherry name. Leah and I will go there now.
Follow the Scoundrel into the Old Mill in the Fields of Misery. A thief has asked for my help on the road to the Drowned Temple. He claims that his friend will be harmed if I do not assist him. Though he does not seem in the least bit trustworthy, I will go along with this for now.

Go to the Drowned Temple north of the Old Mill in the Fields of Misery. I helped the scoundrel save his, uh... friend. I hope I don't regret this. The Drowned Temple is up ahead.
Talk to Alaric at the Drowned Temple in the Fields of Misery. The Drowned Temple is sealed by ancient magic. Perhaps Leah can convince the spirit guardian to open it.
Go to the Festering Woods over the bridge to the northeast of the Drowned Temple. Alaric claims that the keys to the temple are hidden in the Festering Woods. Both Alaric and these woods sound familiar to me. Perhaps I read of them once within the Sanctum.
Retrieve the Beacon of Honor from Warrior's Rest and the Beacon of Light from the Crypt of the Ancients in the Festering Woods. - - / / - -
Place the Beacons on the Pedestals outside the Drowned Temple. I have found both artifacts. When I return them to their pedestals, the protective magic surrounding the temple will allow us to pass.
Enter the Drowned Temple. I am finally able to enter the Drowned Temple. The sword piece I seek must be inside.

Return the Glowing Sword Shard to New Tristram. I have the second sword piece now and avoided an ambush by the cultists who were seeking it. Maghda thinks herself clever, but she continues to underestimate me. It is time to return to New Tristram.

Enter Cain's House in New Tristram. Maghda has played us for fools. She already has the third sword piece! I must hurry back to Cain!
Trailing the Coven Quest Log
Enter the Caverns of Araneae in the Wortham Bluffs North of Wortham. I can barely believe that Deckard Cain is dead. He was a rare man and truly worthy of respect. I will follow his murderes through the caves above Wortham, rescue the angel, and make them pay for what they have done.
Search for the Chamber of Queen Araneae. I have never quite been at ease with spiders. Unfortunately, this cave will allow me ample opportunities to confront my unease. I will hurry through and try not to look up.

Free Karyna with the venom in the Chamber of Queen Araneae. - - / / - -
Go out into the Highlands Crossing from the Chamber of Queen Araneae with Karyna. I have freed Karyna from the spider queen's webbing. We can now leave this place. As quickly as possible, I hope.
Talk to Karyna in the Highlands Crossing. - - / / - -
Find the Khazra Staff on Karyna's Lost Wagon in the Southern Highlands. Karyna tells me that I should search Leoric's manor house for the angel. First, though, I must get through a khazra barricade, using one of their shamans' staves. The staff is hidden in her cart in the Highlands.
Approach the Khazra Barricade with the Khazra Staff in the northern part of the Southern Highlands. This staff clearly has a religious significance. This Khazra will open their barricade to get it back, I am certain. Then, the only thing between me and Leoric's manor house is an uphill fight against endless enemies.
Find Leoric's Manor Courtyard past the Northern Highlands and Leoric's Hunting Grounds. The Highlands were once King Leoric's private hunting grounds. Now they are filled with mad Khazra and cultists who seek to block my way to Leoric's manor house. No matter. I will kill any who stand between me and the angel.
Enter Leoric's Manor at the peak of the Highlands. The Coven is holding the angel somewhere in Leoric's manor. I am surprised, after reading of Leoric's madness and meeting the creature he had become, that his house looks so... ordinary. Perhaps there is more to it than one can see from first glance.

The Imprisoned Angel Quest Log
Enter Halls of Agony Level 1 beneath Leoric's Manor. The angel has been dragged into King Leoric's old torture chambers below the manor house. Who knows what horrors await him there?
Enter Halls of Agony Level 2 beneath Leoric's Manor. These dark corridors are painted with the dried blood of Leoric's subjects. His madness cost this land everything, even its sanity. And now the Coven has taken over these cursed halls, the cultists' vile works echoing those of Leoric's tortures.
Go to the Highlands Passage from the Halls of Agony Level 2. - - / / - -
Enter the Cursed Hold from the Highlands Passage. - - / / - -
Talk to Queen Asylla in [[the Cursed Hold below the Highlands Passage. Everyone suffered during Leoric's mad reign, even his beloved wife. Legend says that he ordered Queen Asylla beheaded for treason. Her spirit stands before me, cradling her head in her arms. It should be terrifying, but there is such sadness about her. I will bring her peace.
Free the Prisoners' Remains in the Cursed Hold below the Highlands Passage. Long ago Leoric held his subjects captive in these wretched cells, where they experienced unspeakable torture. It falls to me to release their spirits from the bonds that have kept them here all these years.
Kill the Warden at the center of the Cursed Hold. The spirits are free, and the queen will soon be at peace. Now, I must destroy the Warden, who trapped them here in death as well as life.
Search for the Chamber of Suffering beneath the Halls of Agony Level 3. The gate to the lower halls has opened, and time is running short. I can feel the waves of dark magic being used to torment the angel. He cannot last much longer.
Kill the Butcher in the Chamber of Suffering. - - / / - -
Find the Stranger in the Cells of the Condemned. The disgusting Butcher demon was quite the challenge, but he now lies as dead as one of the raw pieces of meat he liked to feast upon. With him out of my way, I have only to find where the Coven is holding the angel.

Return to New Tristram Quest Log
Talk to Tyrael in New Tristram. The falling star was the archangel Tyrael. I don't know why he arrived in such a strange manner, but I am sorely lacking of allies and will accept any help I can get. Hopefully, he can answer some of the questions I have.
Talk to the Caravan Leader in New Tristram to travel to Caldeum. I will put my affairs in order here before we travel to Caldeum. We may not be back for a long time.

Act II[]

Shadows in the Desert Quest Log
Go to the Caldeum Bazaar through the northern part of the Hidden Camp. It feels odd returning to my adopted home, even after such a short time away. When I left, I was certain that strange things were afoot in the city. Now that I know Belial, the Lord of Lies, is spreading his corruption and deceit here, it all makes sense. Tyrael and Leah want to make camp above the city. It is a cruel joke that with the wonders of Caldeum below me, I must sleep upon the hard earth in the unsheltered desert.
Talk to Asheara in the Caldeum Bazaar below the Hidden Camp. - - / / - -
Go through the Sundered Canyon outside the eastern gate of the Caldeum Bazaar. Matters here are worse than I imagined. Refugees fill the streets, and the emperor does nothing. Even the Iron Wolves cannot act. What has become of this place I called home? It was once the greatest city in the world. Now look at it. When Maghda is dead, I will return and set things right.
Kill the ambushing cultists in the Sundered Canyon east of the Caldeum Bazaar. - - / / - -
Talk to the Enchantress in the Sundered Canyon. - - / / - -
Kill the lacuni attacking the Iron Wolves at the Sundered Canyon east of the Caldeum Bazaar. My travels have led me to some unexpected encounters. Just this day I met an enchantress named Eirena on the road. She also hunts the Coven, but her reasons are known only to herself. There are a great many secrets about her, but I believe she will be useful, as her knowledge of enchantment appears to exceed even my own. Perhaps I can learn something from her.
Talk to Iron Wolf Jarulf at the Sundered Canyon to the east of the Caldeum Bazaar. - - / / - -
Disrupt the rituals in the Hidden Conclave and the Secret Altar in the Howling Plateau. Eirena told me that the road to Alcarnus is blocked by illusions created by the Coven. Today she showed me an interesting spell with witch she was able to find the hidden tracks of the cultists. Her magic is quite impressive, even to me.
Go to the Black Canyon Bridge in the northern part of the Howling Plateau. Now that we have destroyed the cultists' rituals that were maintaining it, Eirena will be able to dispel the illusion at the Black Canyon Bridge. Her help has been invaluable, and though I do not know her plans for the future, I hope that she might join me. She certainly would be a welcome addition to our company.
Talk to the Enchantress at the Black Canyon Bridge in the northern Howling Plateau. - - / / - -
The Road to Alcarnus Quest Log
Cross the Black Canyon Bridge in northern Howling Plateau. The Coven seems determined to keep me from Alcarnus. First, I was forced to contend with the cultists' illusions in the desert, and now the road is actually blocked. How bothersome. If my memory serves, I can reach Alcarnus through the Khasim Outpost, but surely the Coven knows this. I have no doubt there will be some surprise waiting for me.
Find Khasim Outpost in Stinging Winds. - - / / - -
Talk to Lieutenant Vachem in Khasim Outpost. Something is amiss here. The Imperial Guard has garrisoned the town and is preventing anyone from continuing to Alcarnus. The townspeople seem uneasy. I cannot put my finger on it, but I suspect a trap. I grow impatient of all this trickery.
Enter the Command Post below Khasim Outpost. - - / / - -
Kill the demons and open the Locked Cage in the Command Post below Khasim Outpost. - - / / - -
Kill the disguised demons in Khasim Outpost. - - / / - -
Talk to Captain Davyd in Khasim Outpost. My suspicion proved to be correct, but I had not imagined that the imperial guards were demons in disguise. The more I learn in this desert, the more pervasive the evil of the Lord of Lies seems to be. I rescued Captain Davyd of the Iron Wolves, and he will open the gate so that I may continue to Alcarnus. After meeting Asheara and Davyd, I believe the Iron Wolves are worthy of my trust. Perhaps they will aid me when I return to the city to root out Belial from wherever he hides.
City of Blood Quest Log
Find Alcarnus through the Khasim Outpost gate. Alcarnus. It seems like an eternity since I set out from Caldeum to find it and to find Maghda, but finally the road is clear. The last time I went to Alcarnus, it was a sprawling desert town. I fear to think what Maghda has done to it.
Find the Lair of the Witch in Alcarnus. I have seen my share of horrors, but nothing I have seen compares to this. Maghda and her coven have turned Alcarnus into a charnel house. Decaying corpses are piled along the streets; blood runs in the gutters; and the screams of the dying can be heard everywhere. The smell is unbelievable—rancid and foul. Maghda will pay for every last life she has taken.
Kill Maghdain the Lair of the Witchin Alcarnus. - - / / - -
Return to the Hidden Camp. Maghda is dead. I feel no joy, only a grim satisfaction. Cain, I hope that her death brings you peace, my friend.
A Royal Audience Quest Log
Talk to Asheara at the Gates of Caldeum in the Caldeum Bazaar. Tyrael says that we must help the emperor retake control of his empire and save Caldeum. We need a way into the city, but the Imperial Guard will allow none to enter. With the manner of my departure from the Yshari Sanctum, I have few friends here. I must find new allies. I believe Asheara and her Iron Wolves to be trustworthy. Perhaps she can gain us entry into the city.
Follow Asheara then talk to her to enter the Imperial Palace. - - / / - -
Kill the demons in the Imperial Palace. The emperor is just a child; how could I have hoped he would be able to aid me? The Imperial Guard has him convinced we are the enemy. Instead of gaining an ally, we find ourselves fighting for our lives. It seems we have even fewer friends than we had hoped.

Unexpected Allies Quest Log
Find the Wretched Pit in the Sewers of Caldeum. More strange happenings. Leah has told me that her mother, Adria, is being held prisoner beneath the city by the Imperial Guard. She believes Adria will be able to help us, but I am not convinced. Nevertheless, if finding Adria brings Leah some solace, then it will be worth it. She has lost to much with Cain's death.

Talk to Adria in the Wretched Pit in the Sewers of Caldeum. - - / / - -
Talk to Adria in the Hidden Camp. We have saved Adria from the Imperial Guard. Back in our encampment, far away from prying eyes, we can plan our next move.
Betrayer of the Horadrim Quest Log
Find the oasis gate in the Flooded Causeway beneath the Caldeum Bazaar. Zoltun Kulle. I have heard of him, have learned from the tomes that he wrote, and I know that the mages were wary of him. Of course, they fear any who show such natural abilities with magic, but in his case I believe that there was something to worry about. Nonetheless, we have no other option but to seek his help. It seems a mad quest, but Adria is certain the Black Soulstone and this infamous wizard are vital to Belial's defeat.
Talk to Emperor Hakan II in the Flooded Causeway beneath the Caldeum Bazaar. - - / / - -
Find Dahlgur Oasis through the Ruined Cistern beneath the Caldeum Bazaar. Perhaps the child is not useless as I thought. The emperor met me in the sewers beneath the city, having slipped away from his watchers. Surrounded as he is by the minions of Belial, he is powerless to do much, but Hakan has promised to do what he can to determine where Belial is hiding. I don't have much hope for his success, but I will not turn down any help.

Find Zoltun Kulle's Head in the Forgotten Ruins beneath Dahlgur Oasis. - - / / - -
Get Zoltun Kulle's Head from the Forgotten Ruins beneath Dahlgur Oasis. - - / / - -
Return to Adria in the Hidden Camp with Zoltun Kulle's Head. I have the head of Zoltun Kulle. It is lifeless and silent. I do not see how it can help us, but I was never much for necromancy... or whatever magic Adria plans to rouse the wizard with. Adria says he is not dead, but I have my doubts. I once read that Kulle learned to cheat death itself. How interesting if that turns out to be true.
Blood and Sand Quest Log
Enter the Ancient Waterway in the northern Dahlgur Oasis. Zoltun Kulle's head is silent no longer. I must admit I find it surreal to speak to a mage of legend, especially one whose knowledge of magic may surpass my own. I have given up on trying to learn anything of value from him, though, Kulle is as irritable and unpleasant as the masters of the Yshari Sanctum.
Go through the Western Channel to Western Flow Control and pull the lever, then go through the Eastern Channel to Eastern Flow Control and pull the lever there. I spoke with the emperor again. He assures me he is working hard to uncover Belial's identity, but he's made scant progress. I am not surprised. He is a child, after all. I will most likely need to discover the truth myself.
Enter the Waterlogged Passage from the Ancient Waterway. - - / / - -

Break the Talking Barrel in the Waterlogged Passage. - - / / - -
Talk to Covetous Shen in the Waterlogged Passage from the Ancient Waterway. - - / / - -
Find the Crucible in the Hidden Aqueducts. I do not know what to make of this Covetous Shen. How did an absentminded old man come to be here? I will help him get this crucible of his and then find the way out of this place, but I do not think it likely he will survive to return to Caldeum. It is unfortunate; he rather amuse me.

Go to the Ancient Path from the Hidden Aqueducts. - - / / - -
Get the Blood of Zoltun Kulle from the Cave of the Betrayer Level 2 and the Vault of the Assassin in the Desolate Sands. I had forgotten the heart in the Desolate Sands. I have heard that mad mages and criminals are sometimes sent here to die. It does not surprise me that Zoltun Kulle made his archives out in this desert, far from the city, where few could possibly survive. He claims that this is where the Horadrim sealed his blood away and that we will need it to access his archives. So many diversions! It seems that nothing can be straightforward. And every moment that passes is one more moment for Belial to prepare, for he must know that I am coming.
The Black Soulstone Quest Log
Search for the Archives of Zoltun Kulle at the northern end of the Desolate Sands. Somewhere beneath this desert are Zoltun Kulle's archives. Though he talks much, Kulle has been unwilling to teach me anything. Perhaps I will learn something from seeing these archives of his.
Go to the Terminus in the Archives of Zoltun Kulle. - - / / - -
Open the Shadow Locks in the Unknown Depths and the Storm Halls. I must admit I have never seen anything as impressive as Kulle's archives; even the great Yshari Sanctum pales in comparison. The size of them defies all imagination, and the very air feels suffused with Kulle's dark magic.
Enter the Realm of Shadow through the Terminus. Kulle's blood has opened the portal that leads to the Realm of Shadow, where his body was hidden. I have read of mages accessing these places before, slipping beneath the fabric of reality. But nothing I have read suggested how it might be done; I learned only that it is an endeavor fraught with unimaginable danger. I suppose I should be afraid, but instead I find myself eager to see what lies beyond the portal-
Find Zoltun Kulle's Body in the Realm of Shadow from the Terminus. - - / / - -
Talk to Leah in the Terminus. I finally have Kulle's body, and Leah stands ready to cast the spell that will recreate him. Though Kulle has been an insufferable traveling companion, there can be no doubt that he is powerful—perhaps more powerful than I. But he is the key to the Black Soulstone, so we have little choice but to do as he wishes. For now.
Enter the Soulstone Chamber through the Terminus. Kulle is made flesh once again. He will give the Black Soulstone to us, and then we shall turn our attention to Belial. Kulle has not lied yet, but I am filled with misgivings. I can only hope that the Black Soulstone proves to be everything we believe it is. Otherwise, we have gone on a fool's errand.
Talk to Zoltun Kulle in the Soulstone Chamber through the portal in the Terminus. - - / / - -
Kill Zoltun Kulle in the Soulstone Chamber through the portal from the Terminus. - - / / - -
Get the Black Soulstone in the Soulstone Chamber through the portal from the Terminus. Kulle's betrayal was no surprise, but the fact that the Black Soulstone contains the souls of the slain Lords of Hell was unexpected, to say the least. Why did Adria not tell us of this? She has many secrets. Indeed, secrets and lies are all around me. But now that we have the Black Soulstone, it will not be long before Belial joins the other demons within it.
Talk to Adria in the Hidden Camp. - - / / - -
The Scouring of Caldeum Quest Log
Find Asheara in the Caldeum Bazaar next to the entrance to the Flooded Causeway. Belial knows I am coming for him. He fears me and will destroy all of Caldeum to bury his enemies beneath the rubble. I cannot stand by and watch him rain death upon my city and the innocents who live there. Protecting them delays me, but this is why I learned magic. This is what I must do, even if it means Belial keeps his life a little while longer.

Enter the City of Caldeum with Leah and Adria. I have done what I could, but if I do not kill Belial, saving all those lives today will be for naught. The emperor said that he has discovered Belial's identity, but he is nowhere to be found. I must get to the palace. Nothing will stop me.

I have no doubt that when we find him, he will fall just as his brother did.

Act III[]

The Siege of Bastion's Keep Quest Log
Light the Signal Beacons in the Skycrown Battlements outside Bastion's Keep. I have certainly come far since leaving the gates of the Yshari Sanctum. First Tristram, then the desert of the east, and now the frozen north and its legendary fortress, Bastion's Keep. It is in a sorry state. Its soldiers are tired from weeks of battle, and they need reinforcements. None are coming. It is up to me to rally these troops, to show them that all is not lost.
Find Sergeant Dalen in the Skycrown Battlements. Azmodan tries to unnerve me with cheap magic tricks. A flaming, mocking vision! How terrifying. He must think me a fool.
Turning the Tide Quest Log
Raise the catapults in Stonefort. The signal fires I lit have bolstered the men's spirits, but there is still much to be done. The demons plague the Stonefort, where the catapults are berthed. If we are to break Azmodan's lines, the catapults must be raised. This task falls to me, of course.
Return to the Bastion's Keep Stronghold. I have raised the catapults of Bastion's Keep. Azmodan's army is on the defensive. His lines will soon be broken.
The Breached Keep Quest Log
Find the Keep Depths Level 2. The demons are resourceful; I will give them that. Now that the catapults have made an assault on the keep's exterior a foolhardy endeavor, our enemies attack us from below. I will show them that this is a losing strategy as well.
