Nonsensical anon edits

Hello.

There is a problem in gamepedia (at least, it was in 2016). I'm writing about it because you invited me to send you a message. If you can't fix it, it's fine.

I started editing Diablo: The Hell wiki anonymously in 2016. I made a few small edits (fixing outdated formulas and numbers), then I was instantly banned by IP with a reason "Nonsensical anon edits". I searched for it in the Internet and found the explanation here: http://dota2.gamepedia.com/Talk:Glossary#.22Nonsensical_anon_edits.22

"User is not logged in (anon edit), and new wikitext is missing markup".

I'm ok with such auto bans, probably there is a good reason for them. However, the phrase "nonsensical anon edit" is both insulting and unclear. The edit may be small (even a single number), but very important and a person may have put considerable effort into finding a correct up-to-date value. When he is told by a bot that his work is "nonsensical", it is insulting and discouraging. I'm sure a lot of contributors started by making anonymous edits and were struck by this message at some point.

I propose to simply change the phrase to "anon edit without markup", "small anon edit" or something like that. It is both more clear and not insulting.

It will be great if you can fix it or pass this message to someone who can.

Hello! Thanks for reaching out. Sorry to hear you were auto-banned. That's something that we've disabled across Gamepedia. I took a look at the filter in question and just disabled it. It was catching some vandals but preventing some legitimate edits as well. Please let me know if you need anything else! --Alianin (talk) 14:41, 26 April 2017 (UTC)
