We have begun migration of most wikis to our new host, Amazon Web Services. All but the top 100 wikis are in read-only mode until the migration is complete. Estimated completion: TBD -- Update: Fri 10/20 11pm UTC - We have encountered some unexpected issues. Our staff is working around the clock to complete this process as quickly as possible. Documentation

This is an Infobox used to display monster availabilities in a certain area. Each box is provided with a list of creation types with a sub list of monsters that use that creation type in the area.

The following is a list of all spawn types and what they mean.

  • Spawn : The monster is placed in the area as part of the dungeon generation process. These are the monsters you find when running around. There is no guarantees that they will appear in an area run. Unique monsters that spawn can have chances as low as 1 in 200 sessions.
  • Trap : The monster is created as a result of a trap triggered by the player. The monster is not created until the trap is sprung such as a skeleton in a barrel.
  • From X : The monster is created as a result of actions taken by monsters of X type. Example being Spiderlings being summoned by guardian towers.
  • For X : The monster is created as part of event or quest X. Without that quest or event, it will not appear. Example being Cultists in Wortham will not appear in other quests.
  • "others" : Some Unique monsters have very strange creation patterns that do not fit in the above general categories. An example is the Key Wardens which only appear in Inferno. Another example is the themes/flavours of the Storm Halls. In this situation a custom spawn category may be created but should be explained.

Monsters are then listed as sub lists under these spawn types. This provides the reader with a clear picture of what monsters can be found and how to find them.

This Template requires modification to support separate Champion and Rare spawn information with out breaking existing tables. It has been observed in Dungeons like Cathedral Level 1 that only Champion monsters can spawn. It is also possible that some monster varieties only have a Rare or Champion form (not both). For this reason they need to be treated separately or risk conveying incorrect information.
