Gamepedia and Fandom have joined forces and our combined teams would like to encourage all Diablo fans to unite and work together as well.
To achieve this, this wiki will be archived in favor of the Fandom Diablo community November 1st. Head to the community portal if you have questions or concerns before then.
Stash (Diablo II)
Stash or Private Stash is your personal storage chest. The storage space is slightly larger (48 slots) than your character's inventory (40 slots). Your Stash appears near your starting location in the town of each Act.
You can move items and gold freely from your inventory to the Stash, or vice-versa. Anything stored in your Stash is saved when you exit the game (while items left on the ground will disappear after a few minutes or when logging out). You are the only one who can access your Stash. Another player cannot look inside or access your Stash for any reason.
The gold capacity of your Stash is determined by your character level, as shown below:
The items in your Stash are saved during the game and when you exit the game. You only have to worry about losing items in your Stash when you die in Hardcore Mode. Items in your Stash carry across Acts. The same items and amount of gold will remain in your Stash, regardless of the Act or difficulty level.
