The Fields of Misery is the next area after killing the Skeleton King. The area is accessed through a gate in the Cemetery of the Forsaken and can only be opened after killing the Skeleton King. The Sword of the Stranger quest chain begins here by finding and exploring the Khazra Den. After completing this, you will exit this area.

Quests

Sword of the Stranger - After finding the stranger, you are sent on a quest to go find the fragments of his broken sword. However, you are not the only one looking for them.

• Go to the Khazra Den
• Search for the Khazra Den in the Fields of Misery

Achievement Events

Carrion Farm - If the event occurs, you will find a man in his farm. The place has been over run with Plagur Carrier. After cleansing the area, you will earn the "Carrion Farm" achievement.

A

• Tinker's Hovel - The house will be open to enter. Upon entering, you will find the Tinker merchant who will sell you her wares. She will occasionally sell rare items. There will also be a lore book located in a satchel outside of the house.
• Sheltered Cottage - A Khazra will come from the pillaged house. After killing him, you can enter the house and find a bloody chest.
• Sicward's Corpse - A lootable corpse that will also release some Burrowing Leaper after clicking on the corpse.

B

• Khazra Den - The dungeon needed to continue the quest and find the Stranger's sword.
• Lost Mine - A random dungeon that may have a resplendent chest at the end.
• Waypoint
• Scavenger's Den - A random dungeon that may have a resplendent chest at the end.

C

• Decaying Crypt - A random dungeon that may have a resplendent chest at the end.
• Forlorn Farm - A farm is on fire and a beast's corpse can be clicked. Upon clicking on the corpse, a group of elite Burrowing Leaper will emerge. After killing them, the farmer will come from the storm cellar thanking you. Entering the cellar, you will find him deranged with his dead wife's corpse sitting in a chair. You will also find a resplendent chest.
• Moon Clan Grouping - You will find a large group of Moon Clan all gathered together. Atop the stairs you will find a chest.

• Scavenger's Den - A random dungeon that may have a resplendent chest at the end.
• Waypoint
• Khazra Den - The dungeon needed to continue the quest and find the Stranger's sword.
• Lonely Dwelling - A House of Curios with a merchant inside who will sale you dyes.
• Decaying Crypt - A random dungeon that may have a resplendent chest at the end.

• Khazra Den - The dungeon needed to continue the quest and find the Stranger's sword.

• Carrion Farm - An event where a farm has been over run by Plague Carrier and Plague Nest. An NPC can be found who will begin the quest.
• Forlorn Farm - A farm is on fire and a beast's corpse can be clicked. Upon clicking on the corpse, a group of elite Burrowing Leaper will emerge. After killing them, the farmer will come from the storm cellar thanking you. Entering the cellar, you will find him deranged with his dead wife's corpse sitting in a chair.
