Partha is a town located to along the trade routes between Kehjan and the largest seaports that connects Kehjan with the rest of the world.[1] It is the place where Uldyssian first starts preaching and awakening the powers of the nephalem present in all humans during the events of the Sin War Novels.[2]

At least a thousand people live in Partha, though no exact figure is given. There are buildings four stories high in the town made of both stone and wood, and the streets are laid with stone and not mud.[3] A man named Protheus was one of the founders of Partha, and his statue stands in the town square. He preached kindness and understanding in his day.[4]

The people of Partha quickly welcome Uldyssian and hail him as holy once he restores a small boy's defective arm to perfect health.[5] After he leaves, a quarter of the city follows on his heels[6], and once Lucion is defeated the remainder of the town is sent for.

Half the inhabitants die during the events of the novels, and after The Reset those are believed to have died of the plague.[7]

Inhabitants[]

  • Bartha: The woman who's son Uldyssian healed.[8] Died shortly after Lucion killed her son.[9]
  • Cedric: A young boy, he is the son of Ethon. Killed by Malic with the body used as a disguise for Damos when they try to capture Uldyssian in Partha.[10]
  • Ethon uk-Garal: A merchant and the headman of Partha. He is at least a decade older than Uldyssian, and knew both Cyrus and Diomedes.[11] He is killed and used by Malic to disguise himself in order to fool Uldyssian.[12]
  • Jonas: A sandy-haired man who has had his face ravaged by disease. Uldyssian heals him during their first encounter.[13]
  • Nicodemus: A good tracker, he is the one who leads the Parthan's on Uldyssian's trail after he leaves.[14]
  • Romus: A character of a shady past, he is bald and has a scar across his face. During his first encounter with Uldyssian, he manages to heal it himself.[15] He eventually becomes one of Uldyssian's most stalwart followers.[16]
