The more hits you get in, the higher the damage bonus will grow. The "green ball" will spin around your character indicating the power level of Maul, similar to how Assassin charges work (except the Werebear doesn't have a finishing move). The bigger the ball, the more damage you'll be doing.
For Skill Level 1, the first hit is +20%, but by three hits, it will now be +60%.
