Kill the risen dead attacking the New Tristram gates. The falling star crashed into and old Zakarum cathedral, which seems a likely place to unearth ancient secrets. I will see what I can do to help, so long as it brings me to the cathedral. To work of the Crusade continues.

Enter the Portal to Heaven atop the Keep Tower. Adria... I have no words for it. There is never time to grieve for the fallen, and this day I do not even have time to chase down the betrayer. I must get to the High Heavens and stop Diablo, or all is lost.

Act IV[edit | edit source]

Fall of the High Heavens Quest Log
Talk to Tyrael at the Diamond Gates. I have come to the High Heavens. I never thought the Crusade would bring me here. But it came at great cost, this visit. Leah is dead, betrayed by her own mother. And Diablo is swiftly conquering these golden halls. Tyrael and I must speak about our next steps.
Enter the Vestibule of Light. Tyrael has lost heart. Perhaps human emotions such as loss and despair are too new to him. He has not yet come to terms with those aspects of the mortal warrior's life. He will in time, but until then, I must carry on alone.
Kill Iskatu and his minions in the Vestibule of Light. - - / / - -
The Light of Hope Quest Log
Find Itherael at the northwest end of the Vestibule of Light. Diablo's first champion, Iskatu, is dead. There will be more. But the Crusade has taught me never to stop. If Tyrael cannot rouse himself, I will find another angel to aid me.
Talk to Itherael in the Vestibule of Light. - - / / - -
Find the Library of Fate in the Gardens of Hope 1st Tier beyond the Vestibule of Light. Imperius is an angry sort of angel. With Tyrael still despondent and the archangel of Hope captured by demons, only Itherael can advise me.

Return to the Gardens of Hope 1st Tier. Auriel gave me the power to cleanse the corruption that blocks off so much of the Heavens. This ability will aid me in reaching Diablo.

Destroy the Rift Oculus in the Hell Rift. - - / / - -
Use Auriel's Portal to leave the Hell Rift. The Hell rift is shut. I must use Hope's portal to leave before I am trapped here forever.
Enter the Gardens of Hope 2nd Tier. I destroyed one of the Hell rifts, but another remains on the second tier of the Gardens of Hope. I'll find that one too.
Destroy the Corruption to reveal the Hell Rift in the Gardens of Hope 2nd Tier. The demons ar fighting harder. I'm clearing the corruption and must be getting close to the last Hell rift.
Destroy the Rift Oculus in the Hell Rift. - - / / - -
Escape the Hell Rift before it collapses. I am finished, and should return to the Gardens of Hope as soon as possible. Diablo's invasion may yet succeed.
Find the portal to the Crystal Colonnade in the Gardens of Hope 2nd Tier. I have destroyed Diablo's portals and with them, his ability to reinforce his army. I imagine he'll send his remaining demons to face me. That suits me just fine.
Talk to Tyrael at the portal to the Crystal Colonnade in the Gardens of Hope 2nd Tier. I've found Tyrael. I must speak with him and see if he has learned to deal with the wild emotions of a mortal in combat.
Enter the Crystal Colonnade from the Gardens of Hope 2nd Tier. Tyrael is ready to stand by my side. The fighting will be hard, and I am glad to have him. We will make our way to the Crystal Colonnade and then up the Silver Spire itself.
Beneath the Spire Quest Log
Find Imperius at the Crystal Colonnade. Tyrael is ready to stand by my side. The fighting will be hard, and I am glad to have him. We will make our way to the Crystal Colonnade and then up the Silver Spire itself.
Talk to Imperius at the Crystal Colonnade. - - / / - -
Enter the Gateway to the Silver Spire from the Crystal Colonnade. Imperius is truly an angry sort. Could the writings of Akarat soothe the soul of an angel, I wonder? I doubt it. In any case, the gateway to the Silver Spire lies just ahead, and I've little time.
Prime Evil Quest Log
Cross the Great Span from the Silver Spire Level 1. The corruption is worth here. Diablo's presence infects everything. We must fight our way to the top of this spire as quickly as posible.
Kill Izual in the Great Span. Tyrael's old ally Izual has fallen to corruption and now he fights us. Diablo is badly mistaken to think this will break Tyrael's spirit.
Climb to the Pinnacle of Heaven above the Silver Spire. We must continue the fight and reach the top of the Silver Spire before it is too late. Diablo is close to victory.
Talk to Tyrael at the Pinnacle of Heaven. The angels are out of the fight. I will speak to Tyrael as I prepare to face Diablo.
Go to the Crystal Arch above the Pinnacle of Heaven. I go to the Crystal Arch alone. It is time to face Diablo. I have seen so much but I have never faced a foe such as this. Yet I am a crusader - armored by faith, driven by duty, bound to kill the enemies of Zakarum.

Talk to Auriel at the Crystal Arch and bring your quest to an end. It is done. But there is no cause for celebration. Too many good people fell before this madness ended. It is time to return to the work of the Crusade.

Act V[edit | edit source]

The Fall of Westmarch Quest Log
Find a way into Westmarch I can scarcely credit the events of the last month. I followed a falling star to the west, and found companions who now share my travels. I met an angel made made mortal, I saw my friends Cain and then Leah pass from this life. I traveled to Heaven and defeated the Prime Evil. Yet the work of the Crusade calls me still. Rumors of an ancient scroll drew me to the west, but before I could find it, word came of a massacre in Westmarch. And so I go.

Souls of the Dead Quest Log
Leave The Survivors' Enclave and go to Westmarch Commons. The dead clog the streets, it is impossible not to step on them. The victims at the very bottom are little more than pulp. Each of them died before the Zakarum faith was cleansed. I may yet stop the killing and avenge the dead, but I failed these people. They never had a chance to be saved by the glory of a redeemed Zakarum faith. I must find and defeat Malthael, so that I may return to the work of the crusade.

The Harbinger Quest Log
Leave The Survivors' Enclave and go to Westmarch Heights. Until recently, most people did not know of the existence of angels. And the few who did assumed they were benevolent, our allies against the demons. Now, angels hunt down unarmed people in the streets. Nothing will ever be the same. Mankind knows that angels are real, and that they are not our friends. Even if the Angiris Council arrived to stop the slaughter right now, it is too late—the damage is done.

The Witch Quest Log
Find the entrance to the Tomb of Rakkis in the Overgrown Ruins. Adria has done many foul things in her life. But her worst crimes pale in comparison to what she did to Leah. She birthed the girl solely to sacrifice her for Diablo's return. She murdered her own child, and for that, I will kill her. Leah was the light that kept all of us—even Haedrig—going in the darkest hours. She was full of promise and all she wanted was to lead a simple life, running an inn, helping travelers. I promise you, Leah, the witch Adria will die.

The Pandemonium Gate Quest Log
Go through Tyrael's portal through the Pandemonium Gate. So, it's back to Heaven in order to reach Pandemonium. I'd like to think the trip will be without incident—perhaps I'll run into my old friend Imperius. I'm sure we'll quaff a few pints and reminisce over old times before he walks me to the Pandemonium Gate and holds it open for me. Stranger things have happened, surly. Or perhaps not.

Find Imperius at the Path of War. Someday I will lie bleeding in a dich, dying. And I'd always imagined that, on that day, I'd tell my apprentice of my trip to the High Heavens. But Pandemonium has already proved itself the stranger land, by far. I've seen demons that fight battles long ended, bizarre creatures that should not exist, and more. Who knows, perhaps the object of the crusade lies here as well? In any case, I must hurry. With each moment, thousands more die on Sanctuary, and Malthael's power grows.

Breaching the Fortress Quest Log
Board the Ram from the Siege Outpost. A war that's raged for millennia, that cannot be won, and that serves no purpose. That is what I have seen in this place. If ever I thought that angels or demons were superior to mankind in any way, I now know better. They are shallow reflections of the beings they seem, and Tyrael was wise to forsake his brethren. Mankind may be dirty and short lived and cruel, but the least of us have a greater potential than these broken creatures.

Angel of Death Quest Log
Talk to Tyrael in Pandemonium Fortress Level 1. At last, it is time for Malthael to learn what it means to fight a crusader. I see his campaign for what it is—a last desperate maneuver to destroy humanity before we surpass both angels and demons. He fears our potential more than anything. Still, I must be careful. He is the most powerful angel in all existence, and he is the Aspect of Death itself. I can take nothing for granted.
