Description[]

This contrivance releases several small razors and uses magnetic forces to set them spinning about the Assassin, inflicting grievous wounds on any foe who approaches her too closely.

Using blade shield causes S-shaped blades to rotate in close proximity around the assassin. Two paths of four blades each circle in paths at about 30 degree angles relative to the vertical axis of the assassin. The (8 total) blades of the paths also each rotate themselves. Mobs or enemy players that get within (4-yard radius) range of the assassin will be damaged once per second with 1/4 weapon damage. Some status effects can also be delivered (see box). The blades do have an attack rating check; their attack rating is the same as that of normal attack.

Using two handed weapons does not result in weapon damage penalty as with blade sentinel and blade fury.

Enhanced damage from sources other than the weapon is not included in the skill damage of blade shield.

Straight damage (as in Grief or War Travs) is applied by blade shield.

Most people that choose to skill it consider this to be a one point wonder skill. Some consider it to be for appearances only. It used to be a popular addition to PvP Whirlwind Sin builds, however its popularity has waned. It is still considered a good skill to have on chaos, fury, or fools claws to be used by a PvP WW sin.

Blade shield calculates its damage based on your current weapon. In other words it cannot be prebuffed.
