Bahman was a fortune teller in the city of Lut Gholein. He encountered Jacob there and told him where to go to find El'druin, at the same time stealing his sword without him noticing. When he later tried to sell the sword he ran into Ivan, who killed him and took possession of Jacob's sword.
He claims to be a descendant of the scryers of the Taan Clan and does show prophetic abilities, though it is unclear whether he himself was a member at one point.
