Welcome[]

Welcome to the wiki proper then. Hopefully you'll delve into the template side of things eventually, but if for now you need more spelling errors I'll be happy to supply them. --PhrozenDragon 16:14, 19 January 2012 (UTC)

Well, thank you! And I'll be happy to help with anything you send my way. :) Sojourna 20:31, 19 January 2012 (UTC)

News Update[]

Thanks for the news update on the front page, definitely feel free to continue to do that in the future, as well as update the wiki news when you feel anything substantial has been added or changed. --PhrozenDragon 12:53, 7 February 2012 (UTC)

You're welcome. :) Sojourna 21:55, 7 February 2012 (UTC)

Help Topic[]

What was that thing you told me would be helpful to have in the wiki and which wasn't covered by the Style Guide? It was some sort of help article... --PhrozenDragon 18:24, 24 February 2012 (UTC)

I've sent you a PM over at DiabloFans. Sojourna 21:28, 25 February 2012 (UTC)

Templar edit[]

Hey there,

I've read Your latest edit of the Templar - the line of his criminal past while asked by the Barbarian. Doesn't the Templar admit to being a criminal/weed when asked by any other character as well? Dretar

I believe his criminal past is inferred when the Wizard responds that he/she doesn't think Kormac is a weed, but basically gets the "nice thought, but an ignorant one" line of response from the Templar. He only explicitly states that he was originally a criminal when he answers a question from the Barbarian, though. Sojourna 21:36, 11 April 2012 (UTC)

Redirects[]

I noticed you removed the Uldyissian ul-Diomed citing it was unecessary. Generally speaking a redirect can also be there to send user to the correct page even if they spell it incorrectly in the search box or similar. Thus I revertedyour edit as a redirect is a fairly light page and there's no harm in having it in the wiki, while it might help the occasional user. --PhrozenDragon 17:34, 29 April 2012 (UTC)

I am aware of there being intentional misspelled redirects exactly for the reason you cite. However, I disagree in this instance because most people will type out a few letters and then select from the list that is prompted, usually the first one displayed -- which is how I discovered said redirect page in the first place. It is my belief that it is unnecessary, but I won't fight over it. I'll leave it alone from now on. Sojourna 02:29, 30 April 2012 (UTC)

Pulling item data from the data namespace[]

Hi Sojourna! I see you are pulling item data from the data namespace to the mainspace. The proper syntax for that is {{item|{{PAGENAME}}|table type|top}} rather than a standard transclusion. Just an FYI :D -- Wynthyst User Wynthyst sig icon talk 23:22, 23 May 2012 (UTC)

Noted. Sojourna 23:57, 23 May 2012 (UTC)

Moving images[]

could you plz move these images for me? apparently only admins can do so... thanks! Azareal 10:11, 5 July 2012 (UTC)

I took care of that and the pages linking to the old images. --Apoc 20:53, 5 July 2012 (UTC)

And...[]

could you edit this template... Azareal 10:14, 5 July 2012 (UTC)

Added --Apoc 20:54, 5 July 2012 (UTC)

Regarding disambiguation pages[]

For disambiguation pages, is there a specific capitalization style to use, i.e. Savior (achievement) vs Savior (Achievement)? I have noticed both lowercase and uppercase being used, so I was wondering which one is preferred?

Examples:

Let me know ASAP, so that I don't continue making mistakes.

And please move the Achievement files if uppercase is preferred.

Thanks a bunch! Azareal 18:38, 16 August 2012 (UTC)

I'm going to chime in here and say it needs to be lower case. I know we have not been consistent about this in the past, but going forward please use lower case in parenthesis for disambiguation. This is the accepted standard that wikipedia uses too. --Apoc 21:07, 16 August 2012 (UTC)
I didn't know that, either. Could this info be added to the Style guide for future reference? Sojourna 03:08, 17 August 2012 (UTC)

{{TOC right}} on Lore achievements[]

I noticed that you removed {{TOC right}} from my edit at Historian of Tristram. I saw it on other articles like Eavesdropper and Judge of Character and them assumed that was the standard. And for the TOC be displayed below the infobox I used a lot of
.
I don't know if this is correct or not. I just want to know when TOC should be used. And if there is another argument like {{TOC left}} or anithing like this. Thanks =) -- Ufaust 21:50, 20 August 2012 (UTC)

From what I can gather, some of the achievements are a legacy of Marintha, and she(?) used a different style for the lore achievements which involved adding the actual lore text in addition to the quest and location information. From my point of view, that is just a lot of redundancy. Ideally, the {{ToC}} shouldn't even be necessary if the information were compiled into a table format and the lore text left out. I'll do some more looking around when I have the chance, but until then I would prefer leaving the tag out.
Also, the general standard regarding using
is to avoid using it where possible. If it can't be helped, then use it sparingly. Thanks for helping out on DW! :) Sojourna 00:49, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
I'm thinking to do some editing in the Lore achievements articles. What do you think of this layout? --Ufaust 21:22, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
I like it a lot better than what we've got displayed currently. Go with it! :) Sojourna 01:18, 24 August 2012 (UTC)

Ascending vs. Descending on Achievements[]

In a total change of subject here (I don't know if creating another topic is better, but...), you changed the order of some series of Achievements. Those that were "inferno->hell->nightmare->normal" and you edited to "normal->nightmare->hell->inferno". Ok, but what to do with the other ones that are like "Level60->50->40..."? And The One Percent series?

I don't know if it's better to do my way and watch what happen after that. Or come here and ask about everything before I do something. I just want to do everything as good as possible.

I'm having so much fun editing those articles, I'm enjoying it very much. Thanks for you help. Oh btw, sorry for my english...it's not the best, you know... =) --Ufaust 02:54, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

Just to wanted to say... I had used the hardest->easiest order (i.e. 60->10, Inferno->Normal)... but on hindsight, I would prefer Sojourna's order (easiest->hardest) as it shows the progress of the achievement series. Azareal 13:10, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
I edited it because, yes, I feel it makes more sense progression-wise. You can't do Inferno until you've done Hell, and so on. For a prospective visitor (with minimal knowlege), going from hardest to easiest would most likely end up confusing. (I'll admit, Azareal, originally I thought they were shown that way because you were doing it in alphabetical order.) Sojourna 20:35, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

Category sorting[]

This edit is for sorting Category:Diablo III Journals so that the "Journal" article comes first under the [*] heading. Notice how "Achievements" and "Beta Achievements" appears under [*] in Category:Diablo III Achievements? Were you aware of this when you reverted my edit? =p Or was there some other reason for the revert... *confused* Azareal 02:51, 28 August 2012 (UTC)

No, I was not. I only thought that the * sign wasn't supposed to be showing up. My bad. Sojourna 04:59, 28 August 2012 (UTC)
Hehe. Azareal 06:58, 28 August 2012 (UTC)

Question regarding Interwiki[]

Greetings Sojourna. I am Veryblackraven, a sysop from The Vault, a fellow Gamepedia's Fallout wiki (fallout.gamepedia.com). I've recently added an interwiki link to our article about Leonard Boyarsky as he has contributed to both Fallout and Diablo series. Naturally, I wanted to add a similar link from Diablo Wiki to The Vault. Unfortunately the local Special:Interwiki page doesn't seem to have our wiki listed. For now, I've added it as an ordinary link. Still the best solution, as I see it, would be adding our wiki to your Interwiki settings. Could you please help me with this issue? Thank you. Veryblackraven (talk) 16:21, 27 January 2014 (UTC)

Same with Michael Nicholson. Veryblackraven (talk) 17:24, 27 January 2014 (UTC)
